Summer is here and we expect to be outdoors for the next 3 months. But we all know that kids need a break sometimes and the computer can be as much a part of their lives as it is a part of ours. Visit A Life Size Dinosaur Exhibit
Are your children fascinated by dinosaurs? If so, there’s a great natural exhibit within driving distance of Montreal that would make a fun summer outing.
Prehistoric World is a park that features over 50 life size, scientifically accurate, dinosaur models in an outdoor setting. You can walk along a 1 kilometer trail and view dinosaurs from various historic periods. It takes about an hour to go through the park. There’s a fossil pit where children can hunt for dinosaur bones and picnic tables are available on site.
How to get to Prehistoric World
Prehistoric World is located close to Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, Ontario. That’s about a ninety minute drive from Montreal going west on highway 401. If you’re heading to Toronto you can take a quick detour off the 401 to give the kids a short diversion. You can also make a day of it by visiting both Upper Canada Village (which is nearby) and Prehistoric World.
To get to Prehistoric World take highway 401 West. At exit #758 (Morrisburg) go south a short distance until you get to the park. Prehistoric World is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the last admission at 3:15 p.m. The entrance fee is only $4.00 for children 4 to 15 and free for kids 3 and under. Adults pay $8.00 and seniors pay $6.
The exhibit is open from late May until Labor Day.
