This park is easily accessible through the Montreal Metro System by heading to the Angrignon station. There is a small pond, picnic tables and playgrounds.

Bois de L'Ile Bizard

Located on Ile Bizard this nature park offers kilometres of cycling and hiking trails. The park occupies 200 hectares and provides interesting opportunities to see marshland plant and animal species. During the winter cross country ski trails are available.

This 159 hectare park provides a wide range of activities all year long. There is a network of bike and walking paths as well as many kilometres of cross country ski trails. This is an excellent park for getting away from city life right on the island. Picnic facilities are available in the park as well as two chalets offering limited snacks etc.

Cap St. Jacques Park

Cap St. Jacques is the largest nature park in Montreal. At 288 hectares it offers a beach, kayak and canoe rentals, snack bar, as well as hiking and cycling rails. In winter cross country ski trails are available with a small sugar shack operated in the spring.

Ile de La Visitation Park

Located on the northern shore of Montreal Island, the Ile de la Visitation Nature park is a 34 hectare (75 acre) area with numerous bird watching opportunities. It is an excellent site for observing aquatic birds and migratory fish. The park has numerous walking and cycling paths as well as a spectacular waterfall. Cross country skiing paths are available in the winter months.

Jean Drapeau Park consists of Notre Dame island and Saint Helen’s island. The old site of Montreal’s Expo 67 World’s Fair it now includes a wide variety of activities that could easily occupy a complete day. Morgan Arboretum

The Morgan Arboretum is a private nature reserve in Sainte Anne de Bellevue. McGill University manages this 245 hectare site which provides an extensive example of Quebec’s plants, trees and wildlife. Guided tours are available and dogs are welcome.

Mount Royal Park

Popular with Montrealers and tourists alike, Mount Royal Park is located in the center of Montreal just north of downtown. There are miles of walking and cycling paths, several lookouts over the city as well as a few restaurants at the summit of the mountain.
